The FCI General Assembly admitted Kazakhstan's canine organisation as a full member in August 2023. That created a formal international route for work on the national breed; it did not yet recognise the Tazy itself.
An international commission worked with breed representatives in Kazakhstan in May 2024. Government publications describe the examination of about one hundred Tazy dogs in the context of preparing material for international recognition.
The FCI document describes the Kazakh Tazy's origin, purpose, general appearance, important proportions, behaviour, anatomy, and movement. No single clause should be judged outside the functional picture of the sighthound as a whole.
The FCI nomenclature lists the Kazakh Tazy as breed number 372. It names Kazakhstan as the country of origin, Kazakh Tazy as the breed name, and 3 September 2024 as the date of provisional recognition. The breed is placed in Group 10, Section 1.
